Feb 05 - Cancer Relief To Host Pancake Day
Cancer Relief is holding its 3rd Pancake Day fund-raising event this Shrove Tuesday 9th February the last day before Lent. Everyone is invited to get out their non-stick frying pan, flour, eggs, milk and sugar and get Gibraltar flipping for Cancer Relief’s Pancake Day.
Families or groups of friends wanting to enjoy a pancake in a restaurant can go to any of the participating establishments; look out for Cancer Relief’s poster “Get your Pancake Here” at their premises. The restaurants will give the charity a donation for every pancake served. The restaurants are listed on the ‘”Relief Gibraltar and the Cancer Relief Centre” Facebook Page (please ‘Share’ and ‘Like’) together with the many businesses who are also joining in.
For those who prefer to cook their own pancakes at home, why not get families and friends together, enjoy a scrumptious pancake and make a donation to Cancer Relief Gibraltar? Young people are also joining in to make this a fun event!
Everyone is invited to join the “Pancake Flip” competition by taking photos or videos of their “Big Flip” and email it to This email address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it.. These will be judged by Cancer Relief’s fund-raising group and prizes awarded to the most original and funny! The photos and videos will be posted on the Centre’s Facebook page.

Those wishing to donate (cheques made out to “Cancer Relief Gibraltar” please) can also call Chimene to arrange for one of the fund-raising group to collect the funds.
