May 28 - Fighting Leukemia With Fashion

More than £1,000 was raised as 22 models took to the catwalk for Fighting Leukemia With Fashion.

No1Models hosted their first fashion show to mark the fifth anniversary from when they first started, and raised more than £1,000 for the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society, with more funds still to come.

The fashion show took place at the Inces Hall Theatre, and was a complete sell out on both nights.

Organisers Kelvin Hewitt and Karess Zammit hold the charity close to their hearts, and chose to raise money for LLS after Karess’ mother was diagnosed with Leukemia.

They said: “Proceeds from the evening will benefit LLS, the world.s largest voluntary health organization dedicated to increasing funds for lifesaving blood cancer research and providing free information and support services to those touched by cancer.

“Funds from Fighting Leukemia With Fashion will help advance LLS's mission to cure Leukemia, Lymphoma, Hodgkin's disease and Myeloma, and improve the quality of life of patients and their families.

“Fashion is something that we live and breath everyday however we have the option in changing our outfits and changing our style.

“The goal of this Fashion Show is to bring that same hope to people living with Leukemia. With everyone's help we can change their future and change the outcome of how the disease affects their lives.”

Kelvin and Karess would also like to take this opportunity to thank the models who took part, sponsors, make up artists, designers, shops, hair stylists and everyone else involved.
