Jul 01 - A Victory Lap For Mark’s Return

Former Commanding Officer of the Royal Gibraltar Regiment, Lieutenant Colonel (Rtd) Mark Randall has almost finished his incredible 2,125 km charity walk and is due to arrive in Gibraltar on this Saturday 4th July.

Mark is expected to arrive at the Frontier around 9.30 am when he will be met by members of the Royal Gibraltar Regiment. Mark will then continue on the final leg of his journey around Gibraltar and members of the public are encouraged to join him at any point on his victory lap.

Mark’s route will take him across the runway and down Devil’s Tower Road, he will then head towards Europa Point on the East side through Dudley Ward Tunnel. He will then walk around Rosia Bay and along Jumpers Bastion before heading down Main Street.

The Royal Gibraltar Regiment Band will join Mark in Main Street at around 11.15 am and play alongside him as he completes his journey. His final destination will be Grand Battery House where there will be a welcome reception.

Mark set off from Cardiff Castle on the 21st April and has been averaging 30 km a day for over 10 weeks. Mark is raising money for the RG Benevolent Fund and GBC Open Day.
