Feb 05 - Two Spanish Nationals Fined For Interfering With Refuse And Burglary

Two Spanish nationals have been fined for stealing a pressure washer and interfering with refuse.

David Diaz Cara, a 32 year old Spanish national, a resident of La Linea, Spain, and Salvador Fernandez Serna, a 30 year old Spanish national and also a resident of La Linea, Spain, have each been fined £500 after pleading guilty to Burglary and Interfering with Refuse.

Their arrests came about when the vehicle both individuals were travelling in was stopped by Area Response officers in the early hours of this morning. The vehicle was found to contain 12 x large containers filled with used cooking oil, a Hi-Fi speaker and a pressure washer.

Both were initially arrested for Interfering with Refuse but were soon after identified as being wanted in connection with a burglary that had been committed in the area of Neptune House, Marina Bay the previous week. In that incident, a pressure washer valued at approximately £300 had been stolen from a storeroom.
