    The Government says it notes, “with disappointment”, the European Parliament’s objection, today, to the entry into force of the European Commission’s decision to remove certain jurisdictions, including Gibraltar, from the EU’s list of ‘high-risk’ third-countries with strategic deficiencies as regards anti-money laundering and counter-terrorist financing (“AML/CFT”).

Jun 10 - Local Man Arrested Following Post On Social Media

A 24-year-old local man has been arrested for the offence of Improper Use of a Public Telecommunications Network, in connection with the publication of a post on a local social networking site.

The individual in question has been bailed out to return to New Mole House at a later date pending further enquiries and as a result cannot yet be named.

A second but unrelated post on social media is also currently the subject of a separate investigation.
