Jun 28 - Juvenile Arrested For Theft, Assault On Police And Setting A Dog - Bull Terrier Impounded

A 17-year-old male juvenile was arrested in the early hours of the morning yesterday on suspicion of Theft, Assault on Police and Setting a Dog, by uniformed officers investigating a report of a theft of a handbag belonging to an elderly woman in the area of Glacis Estate.

Whilst in the process of effecting the arrest, both officers sustained puncture wounds to their thighs and hands as a result of the individual setting his dog (an American Staffordshire Bull Terrier) on them.

The juvenile was later interviewed and bailed out to appear at New Mole House at a later date whilst the investigation continues, with his dog impounded at the Gibraltar Veterinary Clinic.
