Jun 29 - Man Charged With Burglary And Handling Stolen Goods

A Spanish national has been charged following an investigation into two burglaries.

Francis Javier Lopez Coca, 35, of Referendum House, Glacis Estate, has been charged with one count of Burglary and one count of Handling Stolen Goods.

The charges follow his arrest yesterday by CID officers investigating a burglary committed at a residence in the north district. Two televisions which were stolen from this residence have now been recovered.

The second burglary reportedly took place at a restaurant in the area of Ocean Village where a cash register with monies were stolen earlier this week.

Lopez Coca was detained in Police custody overnight and will be appearing before the Magistrates’ Court this morning.
