Jul 28 - Man Charged With Assault

A 54-year-old Portuguese national Manuel DE SA FERNANDES, of Ark Royal House, Laguna Estate, has been charged after his arrest last night following an alleged domestic violence incident. 

 

He was charged with one count of assault occasioning in Actual Bodily Harm, one count of making threats to kill and one count of attempting to strangle with intent to facilitate an indictable offence. 

The charges follow his arrest last night by Area Response Team officers who were called to respond to a domestic disturbance at his residence.

He remained in Police custody and appeared before the Magistrates’ Court this morning.
