    The Government says it notes, “with disappointment”, the European Parliament’s objection, today, to the entry into force of the European Commission’s decision to remove certain jurisdictions, including Gibraltar, from the EU’s list of ‘high-risk’ third-countries with strategic deficiencies as regards anti-money laundering and counter-terrorist financing (“AML/CFT”).

Sep 22 - Former Post Office CEO Faces Rape Charges

The former CEO of the Gibraltar Post Office is facing rape charges.

Christopher Riddell, 53, of Catalan Gardens, Gibraltar, has today been charged with two counts of Rape.

This follows an investigation by officers of the RGP Criminal Investigation Department dating back to March of this year.

Mr Riddell was also the project manager for the Mid Harbour Small Boats Marina.

He will be appearing before the Magistrates’ Court at 10:00 tomorrow morning.
