Sep 30 - Woman Charged With Cruelty To Young Persons

A 31-year-old woman was charged with two counts of cruelty to young persons yesterday. 

Tamara Bouacha, of Willis’s Road has been charged with the following offences under the Crimes Act 2011:

  •   2 x counts of Cruelty to Young Persons.
  •   1 x count of Criminal Damage.
  •   3 x counts of Possession of a Controlled Drug (B Class).
  •   1 x count of Possession of a Controlled Drug (C Class).

The charges follow her initial arrest in September 2015 and a subsequent investigation conducted by detectives from the RGP Safeguarding Unit, part of the Crime & Protective Services Division. She was arrested yesterday and charged yesterday after failing to surrender to Police bail

Bouacha will be appearing before the Magistrates’ Court this morning.
