    Officers from the RGP Operations Division currently investigating recent instances of Violence and Anti-Social Behaviour in the area of Glacis Estate have carried out several arrests. These follow an incident of Violent Disorder at Glacis Estate last Friday, where seven individuals were arrested by RGP Response Team officers and where bladed weapons were seized.

Dec 10 - Promotions Within the RGP

rgp promotions Commissioner of Police Mr. Eddie Yome today announced promotions to the rank of Chief Inspector, Inspector and Sergeant.

Chief Inspector Paul RICHARDSON joined the service on the 30th September 1985. Early in his career he served in the Operations Division and later moved to the Crime Division where he gained detective experience in the Financial Crime Unit and Criminal Investigation Department. At the time of his promotion Chief Inspector RICHARDSON was serving as the Executive Coordinator in the Gibraltar Coordinating Centre for Criminal Intelligence and Drugs (GCID).

Chief Inspector Brian FINLAYSON joined the service on the 2nd January 1997. Mr. FINLAYSON has served in the Operations Division and has also served extensively as a Detective in various departments within the Crime and Protective Services Division of the RGP. In recent years he has carried out duties in the Neighbourhood Policing Unit within the Operations Division where he has remained until his promotion.

Inspector Nolan ROMERO joined the service on the 18th June 1998. During the early part of his career Mr. ROMERO served in the Operations Division and later moved to the Crime and Protective Services Division where he gained experience as a detective, serving mainly in the Financial Crime Unit. At the time of his promotion Inspector ROMERO was serving in the Serious Crime Unit.

Inspector Mark WYAN joined the service on the 31st January 2002. Mr. WYAN served initially in the Operations Division, moving on to the Financial Crime Unit and then to the File Preparation Unit in the Headquarters Division where he served until his promotion.

Sergeant Albert LODDO joined the service on the 1st September 2004. He has served in operational uniformed policing and then in the Crime and Protective Services Division where he gained experience as a detective in the Criminal Investigations Department before moving to the Drug Squad.

Sergeant Craig GOLDWIN joined the service on the 6th October 2009. He has served in operational uniformed policing before moving to the Crime and Protective Services Division where he gained experience as a detective in the Criminal Investigations Department. At the time of his promotion Sgt GOLDWIN was serving within the Serious Crime Unit.
