Jan 15 - Man Sectioned Following Aggressive Behaviour
Yesterday afternoon at 1pm, the RGP received reports that a man was acting aggressively towards motor vehicles on Line Wall Road. Upon their arrival on the scene, the 44 year old local man was arrested after being described as ‘acting irrationally’.
At New Mole House the man reviewed by a Mental Welfare Officer who took the decision to section him. Charges of Obstructing Police and Offensive Conduct were dropped and he was conveyed to the King George V Hospital for treatment.
The RGP confirmed that at no point was there any danger to the public.
