Jan 20 - Teen Faces Drugs Charges

courtLast week 19-year-old British National Megan Parry appeared before the Magistrates Court on charges of unlawful possession of 24 grams of Cannabis Resin with intent to Supply, unlawful possession of the said drugs and handling stolen goods.

The charges related to a CID investigation last December where a search warrant was executed at an address where Miss Parry was staying. The said drugs along with an amount of property identified as stolen during a recent burglary were found during the search, which culminated in Miss Parry’s arrest.

Miss Parry entered Guilty pleas to all three charges and was sentenced to six weeks imprisonment in respect to charge 1, with a further 4 weeks imprisonment to run concurrently in respect to charge 3. She received no separate penalty (NSP) in respect of charge 2.
