Jan 26 - Local Woman Arrested On Suspicion Of Cruelty To Her Young Children

The RGP can confirm that at about 1300hrs on Friday 23rd January 2015, a local woman in her late twenties was arrested on suspicion of Cruelty to Children, namely her two young children, both aged under 10 years.

Officers also invoked Powers of Police Protection conferred by Section 98 of the Children’s Act 2009 in respect of both children who have been placed into the care of The Care Agency whilst investigations continue.

The female in question remains on Police bail.
