    The Government says it notes, “with disappointment”, the European Parliament’s objection, today, to the entry into force of the European Commission’s decision to remove certain jurisdictions, including Gibraltar, from the EU’s list of ‘high-risk’ third-countries with strategic deficiencies as regards anti-money laundering and counter-terrorist financing (“AML/CFT”).

Mar 26 - Child Rape Case Set For Next Month

A man accused of raping a child is set to stand trial next month.

Kevin Norman Whitfield has been charged with four counts of rape of a child, two counts of attempted rape of a child and two counts of assault. He denies all charges.

The trial is scheduled for Monday 13th April at the Supreme Court.

Mr Whitfield is represented by David Dumas QC and Kenneth Navas.
