    Officers from the RGP Operations Division currently investigating recent instances of Violence and Anti-Social Behaviour in the area of Glacis Estate have carried out several arrests. These follow an incident of Violent Disorder at Glacis Estate last Friday, where seven individuals were arrested by RGP Response Team officers and where bladed weapons were seized.

May 21 - RGP Officer Assists Florida Training Event

RGP Detective Constable Jason Oton has recently returned to Gibraltar after participating in the 2015 IACIS (International Association of Computer Investigative Specialists) International training event in Orlando, Florida. IACIS is a volunteer organisation providing training to Law Enforcement agencies worldwide in the field of Computer Forensic Analysis.

DC Oton, an officer of the RGP’s High-Tech Crime Unit and valued member of IACIS, was invited by the Association to assist as a trainer in their “Basic Computer Forensic Examiner” training course held between the 4-15 May 2015. DC Oton is a Peer Review Coach for IACIS and mentors students who have attended the ‘Basic’ course and have subsequently continued through to the certification process to obtain their CFCE (Certified Forensic Computer Examiner) status. There are currently approximately 1,700 CFCE accredited members worldwide.

DC Oton joined the RGP in 2000 and has amassed a wealth of knowledge and experience in the field of Computer Forensics.
