Jun 04 - Security Guard Charged Following Child Porn Investigation

Following an extensive investigation by officers of the RGP Safeguarding Unit in conjunction with Interpol USA, British national Richard Jimenez, aged 47, who is currently employed as a security guard, has been arrested by investigating officers on suspicion of being in Possession of Indecent Photographs of Children.

Following his arrest today, a search warrant was executed at his residence and another at his place of work. Upon conclusion of the search warrants Jimenez was interviewed under caution in the presence of his legal counsel. He was later charged with five counts of being in possession of an indecent photograph of children.

He was then bailed out in the sum of £1000.00 on his own recognizance, with further bail conditions imposed, including the surrendering of his travel documents. He is due to appear before the Magistrates court at 10am tomorrow.
