Sep 28 - Gibraltar Live Music Society Celebrates One Year
The Gibraltar Live Music Society today celebrates its one-year anniversary.
A spokesperson for the society told YGTV:
“Well it is surreal - surreal to believe that we officially renamed ourselves Gibraltar Live Music Society a year ago.
“The original GLMS will always hold a dear place in our hearts but with the backing of their original members: Steven Noni Belilo, Jason Belilo, Alex Zapata and Jonathan Sacramento, we moved on from our old Music.gi alias for the better.
“In a year we have acquired sponsorship from various local businesses; Gibtelecom, Fresh Entertainment, Events.gi, Hassans, Bruno's, The Little Rock Cafe, The Jazz Cafe Gibraltar, Saccone & Speed - Gibraltar Group of Companies and Chestertons Gibraltar. We couldn't thank all the businesses mentioned above enough for their contributions and for also believing in our goals.
“We have also developed some good partnerships with establishments like Rock On The Rock, My Wines Gibraltar Ltd, The Hendrix and more to promote their gigs so to them we are very grateful.
“To the artists, bands and DJs for their support and for allowing us to cover your gigs; be it with a report or with photography.
“Another special thanks goes out to Seamus Byrne and his amazing team down at the Gibraltar Cultural Services for allowing us to be a part of so many events just like any other media entity in Gibraltar so thanks for that.
“Thank you to J2 Productions for allowing us to be a part of two consecutive National Day Rock Concerts.
“Our biggest thank you goes out to all the people who like, comment and share our content. You have no idea how a single like, share and comment motivates us to bring you more news, pictures, interviews and material from our local musicians.
“We hope to support local music for many years to come and with that we hope to continue with our goal and that is to keep local music alive.”
