May 08 - Eclipse Lounge - Exclusive Club To Open In Casemates Next Month
An exclusive nightclub is set to open in Casemates Square next month. The Eclipse Lounge will occupy the unit which was for many years the home of the highly successful Salsa Fuego club.
Boasting a state-of-the-art sound system and a high-tech LED lighting setup that can be entirely controlled by an iPad, the club’s interior has been designed by top Marbella-based professionals who have also been involved in the creation of some of Puerto Banus’ most iconic night spots.
YGTV spoke to founder and owner Giovanni Bagu about the project.
“The Eclipse Lounge will put Gibraltar’s nightlife on another level. There will be two proper VIP areas and the whole feel will be very exclusive,” he said.
Giovanni explains that he plans to make Friday nights an over 25s only night and then reserve Saturdays for over 18s. However, in addition to providing night-time entertainment, the club will be open in the afternoon for late lunches and also try and attract the after work drinks crowd.
In total, the project has taken around five months to complete and Giovanni is happy with the results and looking forward to the big opening night.
“We’re looking to bring over some well-known names in the industry and making every night a night to remember.”
