gib day Yesterday’s annual Gibraltar Day reception received a warm and welcoming reiteration of the UK Government’s commitment to Gibraltar, with Europe Minister David Lidington highlighting to the vast crowd that Gibraltar and the city of London’s links ran deeper than history, with both sharing democratic values.

The event, held at the magnificent Guildhall in Central London, drew in a guest list of almost 1000, ranging from friends of Gibraltar, Gibraltarian expats in the UK, Gibraltarian students, those with business links to the Rock, Members of the UK Parliament, Military personnel with links to Gibraltar, former Governors, Sheriffs of London’s Lord Mayor and ambassadors from across the World.
