picardo As one of the newest events added to the Gibraltar Day programme, this morning’s eGaming breakfast brought together professionals from the sector, both in Gibraltar and the surrounding areas in the UK. With remote gaming making up a valuable and prominent pillar of Gibraltar’s economy, Minister Albert Isola touched upon the Government’s decision to review the remote gaming proposition, with the help of operators based on the Rock.

During his speech, Chief Minister Fabian Picardo pledged to support the GBGA in their endeavor to challenge the POC taxation to be put in place by the UK Government next month. He insisted that the Government would not have an active presence in the case, as their position is to remain impartial.
