Nov 25 - GGCA Raises Concern Regarding Joe Bossano's Statement On Civil Servants On YouTube Video

The GGCA Committee denies being affiliated or in support of any political party and is very concerned about the recording of caretaker Minister Joe Bossano posted on social media yesterday.

The GGCA has confirmed that the video in question is of a recording of Mr Bossano talking about caretaker Minister for Health Dr John Cortes.

A spokesman for the union said: "We are not aware of the context within which the statement was made, nor indeed the authenticity of the recording itself.

"However, the extreme derogatory and insulting term used to describe civil service is completely unacceptable to us.  We publically seek clarification from the GSLP-Liberal Alliance."

The spokesman added: "Following various concerns and enquiries from our membership, the GGCA Committee would like to publically confirm that we are not affiliated to, nor do we support, any political party.

"We feel that the best way for us to represent our membership is by remaining apolitical, and we are committed to upholding and maintaining this stance for as long as we remain responsible for GGCA affairs."
