Feb 04 - Individuals In Arrears With Government Won’t Be Allocated Berths At New Marina
Individuals who are in arrears with the Gibraltar Government or any Government Agency, Authority or company will not be allocated berths at the new Mid-Harbour small boats marina.
This restriction, which the Government has heralded as an “important innovation”, is incorporated into the rules governing the allocation of berths which were published today.
The move comes hot on the heels of a debate regarding the money owed in government rental arrears which recently broke the £6,000,000 mark.
The Government says that such individuals would be required to clear the debt before being allocated a berth.
