Jul 28 - Joint Working Group Formed Between Unite And Government To Discuss GDC
The Government and Unite the Union say they are happy to announce that they have reached an agreement to form a joint working group to discuss the future strategy of the Gibraltar Development Corporation (GDC).
The Chief Minister and his Private Secretary for Industrial Relations have been working closely with Unite the Union for some time now on resolution to some long standing issues within the GDC.
The creation of the Working Group will now provide an opportunity to address the more detailed issues that affect Unite members from across the GDC.
The Working Group will be jointly chaired by the Private Secretary for Industrial Relations, Mr Michael Crome, and Unite the Union Regional Officer Mr Victor Ochello, together with two representatives from Unite the Union and two other nominees appointed by the Chief Minister. The Working Group is to report on its findings to the Chief Minister by mid- November. The Chief Minister will then convene a general meeting for all GDC employees towards the end of November to share the findings of the Working Group.
