Jul 31 - GSD Expresses Concern At Banking Job Losses
The GSD says that it is concerned about the potential for up to 15 redundancies announced by RBS International, trading locally as Natwest, by way of a press statement issued yesterday.
Damon Bossino, Deputy Leader of the GSD Opposition and shadow minister for employment and banking said:
'As always with such news, our thoughts are first with those on the front line of any cuts leading to job losses and we expect and hope that these can be absorbed in other areas as soon as possible. The party will be reviewing the matter in greater detail over the next few days with a focus not only on the job losses but the impact these developments may have on Gibraltar's economic outlook as a whole'.
