Sep 01 - Isola Leads Hong Kong Delegation
Albert Isola, Minister for Financial Services, will this week be lead a delegation, comprising of financial services professionals with particular expertise in funds and asset management, to Hong Kong.
The visit is anchored around the Hedge Funds World Asia conference in Hong Kong at which Minister Isola will be giving an address. In addition, Minister Isola will be hosting a financial services lunch for some sixty professionals and engaging in a significant series of bilateral meetings with both the private and public sector in Hong Kong over a four day period. Private sector participants from Gibraltar, accompanying the Minister to Hong Kong, will also be attending the bilateral meetings that have been set up with, inter alia, law and accounting firms.
Finance Centre Director, James Tipping and Gibraltar Finance senior executive, Philip Canessa will accompany the Minister. The visit and schedule of meetings has been put together by Gibraltar Finance and HMGOG’s representative in Hong Kong, Jason Cruz.
Commenting on the matter, Minister Isola said he was very excited about the opportunities that the visit will explore. He added, ‘It is my second visit to Hong Kong on business over the last year and a very significant schedule of meetings have been put together by Gibraltar Finance and our representative office in Hong Kong. I am also very much looking forward to addressing the Hedge Funds conference.’
