May 26 – Gibraltar Presentation At UN Seminar Deemed A Success

Minister Joe Bossano has expressed his satisfaction that the attempt to misrepresent Gibraltar’s position in the United Nation’s seminar held in Fiji last year has been stopped.

He said it is important to remain vigilant and keep attending seminars to help counteract Spain’s claims that they have undiluted support from the international community.

Mr Bossano adds that it is Gibraltar’s objective to ensure that by participating in seminars such as these, the Committee of 24 Members and other UN states remain neutral and keep an open mind towards Gibraltar.

Speaking from Nicaragua this year, Mr Bossano added that none of the C 24 members supported the Spanish representative’s position on the three disputed territories, namely Falklands, Gibraltar and Western Sahara.
