May 29 – New Request Bus Stop To Be Placed At Queensway Quay

A new request bus stop will be placed southward by Queensway Quay estate, the government has announced today.

This was a result of feedback received following the launch of the Draft Sustainable Traffic, Transport and Parking plan.

The introduction of a Request Bus Stop follows on from the many representations of residents of the area and users of the Queensway Quay Marina. HM Government of Gibraltar aims to enhance the public transport network at this particular location.

The Minister for Transport, Traffic and Technical Services, Paul Balban, said: “We believe this Request Bus Stop will complement public transport users of the area of Queensway Quay positively. At present the closest bus stops are those by King’s Wharf and Elliot’s Way.”
