Jun 11 – BREAKING NEWS: Guardia Civil Attend Queen’s Birthday Parade
In a highly unusual move, two representatives from the Spanish Guardia Civil attended this evening’s Queen’s Birthday Parade in Casemates. The two officers - wearing their traditional ceremonial ‘tricornios’ but without their weapons - were seated behind Minister Paul Balban and right next to Rob Garner, the Commanding Officer of the Gibraltar Squadron.
YGTV understands that the Guardia Civil is formally invited to the parade every year but this is the first time that they’ve sent representatives.
