Sep 01 - GDP Federation Responds To "Without Prejudice Agreement"

The Gibraltar Defence Police Federation welcomes the development of a ‘Without Prejudice Agreement’ on the stepping up of law enforcement co-operation at sea.

A spokesman for the GDPF said: "We hope that the Statements from the HM Government of Gibraltar, the United Kingdom Foreign and Commonwealth Office and the Spanish Government in relation to law enforcement co-operation at sea will help to achieve a real and practical operational protocol for all law enforcement agencies working in the area.

"As members of the EuroCOP family we share the same values as other Police organisations throughout Europe. We wish to focus on maintaining peace and tackling crime.

"Our members wish to avoid actions which could jeopardise the safety of members of the Policing and law enforcement families or the safety of the community we help to serve and protect."
