Sep 03 - GSD Says Government “Has Been Found Wanting” On Issue Of LNG
The GSD has said that “however the Government wishes to spin the arguments, the fact remains that it has been found wanting on the issue of LNG.”
A short statement from the party continued: “The inescapable truth is that in February they claimed to have the necessary safety reports supporting their claims on public safety, in June they acknowledged that this was not the case and these reports were still being prepared. The Government lied to the people on an issue of public safety which could affect thousands in this community. What the community must ask itself is whether it can now trust anything this Government says on the issue of LNG, or any other issue, considering the total dishonesty it has displayed in this matter.”
