Oct 12 – Gibraltar Day Reception Attendance To Break Previous Record
The biggest ever Gibraltar Day celebration will culminate in a grand reception in the Guildhall this evening.
Bringing together over 1,000 guests from the financial services industry, the UK military establishment and the Westminster political class, the event is aimed at promoting Gibraltar and her interests while forging new business partnerships.
The evening reception follows a Financial Services lunch held earlier today.
The Minister for Financial Services, Albert Isola, addressed City fund managers and top businessmen from the Rock updating them on progress in his areas of responsibility.
He highlighted the numerous working groups that had been set up in Gibraltar to discuss issues like tax, virtual currency and insurance-linked securities.
Mr Isola highlighted his Government’s drive to remain at the forefront of international rules adding that “quality, regulation and reputation” were the three key elements of doing business in the Rock’s financial services sector.
