Apr 27 - Bayside Boys Win Cyber Security Schools' Challenge Competition

The Minister for Education, Gilbert Licudi, has congratulated the Bayside team on behalf of the Government. After reaching the finals, the team from Bayside School beat teams from schools across the UK at a gruelling contest held at The National Museum of Computing in Bletchley Park, UK.

Minister Licudi expressed his delight at the news of the boys' resounding victory at the Cyber Security Schools' Challenge:
"I never cease to be amazed at how tiny Gibraltar continues to punch above its weight even in the highly technical and specialised field of cyber security. Congratulations to the Bayside team".

He also thanked the teachers and the IT security professionals from the on-line gaming industry for volunteering to teach and prepare the team over the last few months.
