May 27 - University of Gibraltar Holds Open Day For Over-55s

The University will be convening an Open Day for the over 55s on Friday 3rd June from 9.30am to 2.30pm. The Open Day will offer free course tasters in: Gibraltar history, conversational Italian, art, wine tasting, and culinary development and provide further information for those wishing to register on the new programmes on offer.

The tutors and visiting speakers will be available to answer questions and discuss the content of the courses.

This Open Day is an initiative of the Silver Education Group, which consists of a small group of over 55s from different walks of life, who are advising the University with regards to its short course provision.

The Group compiled a questionnaire to ascertain local interests in short courses and held anawareness raising morning at the Piazza. The results of the questionnaire and face to face consultations have informed the choice of tasters offered at the Open Day.

There will be parking space available on campus during the Open Day and Bus No.2 provides convenient public transport to and from the University.
