Dec 01 - Gibraltar Assists In Search And Rescue Operation In Bay
At 09:00 this morning, the Gibraltar Port Authority (GPA) VTS Centre received a call from Salvamento Maritimo Algeciras Station advising they were engaged in a search and rescue operation for one (possibly two) persons deemed missing at sea. Spanish Authorities had been conducting the search since last night.
GPA offered assistance of its Port Launch. Additional marine assets from Royal Gibraltar Police, Gibraltar Defence Police, Customs Marine Sections and MoD have also supported in this operation, coordinated by GPA VTS from the Gibraltar side.
