Jul 28 - New Ministerial Podcast On Beach Improvements Goes Out Today
A new podcast giving information on the second phase of beach improvements recorded by Minister for Tourism, Neil Costa, and the Minister for Equality, Social Services and the Elderly Samantha Sacramento, will be posted in the Ministry of Transport website later today. The podcast features the deployment of jellyfish nets that will help minimise stinging incidents that have been prevalent in beaches in the past, and also the provision of specialised equipment that will enable persons with reduced mobility to have access to the beach and be able to enjoy swimming facilities as well.
Minister Costa said: “This is the latest in the series of podcasts with which I seek to keep the public informed in a timely manner of all the advances and improvements that we are making in our areas of responsibility. I am delighted that the beach works programme has now been completed for this season and that the public can look forward to an enjoyable and safe summer in our beaches.”
