Jul 28 - Finance Centre at South Africa Insurance Conference
Gibraltar Finance is currently attending and exhibiting at The Insurance Conference Southern Africa 2014 (ICSA) in Sun City, South Africa, from Sunday 27th July to Wednesday 30th July.
This is the first time that Gibraltar Finance has attended the conference, one of the largest gatherings of insurance professionals in Southern Africa. In 2013 the conference had over 1,000 attendees representing 302 organisations from 23 countries.
Gibraltar Finance is represented by Michael Ashton, Senior Executive, and with him in Sun City are Michael Oliver, Head of Insurance Supervision, FSC and Karl DeGiovanni, Associate Director, Aon Insurance Managers, Gibraltar.
Minister for Financial Services, Albert Isola commented, ‘our participation at ICSA follows a visit by Gibraltar Finance to South Africa late last year when we were positively encouraged to return for ICSA. Currently, Gibraltar has three South African owned insurance companies and I expect our participation at ICSA to generate further interest in insurance, captive and protected cell companies in Gibraltar as we offer an attractive insurance jurisdiction with a unique "gateway" product to the European Union.’
