Jul 03 - Honouring A Generation: Online Exhibition
The Government says it is delighted to make available the exhibition about the Evacuation of the people of Gibraltar during the Second World War available online. The exhibition ran very successfully at the John Mackintosh Hall throughout May.
The online exhibition showcases photographs of the exhibition launch event, followed by close-up photographs of the exhibits and individual items. The online exhibition is accessible via the Gibraltar National Archives website:

The public is advised that the online exhibition may take a few minutes to load, depending on the internet connection speed. It is best viewed from high-speed browsers such as Google Chrome, Mozilla Firefox and Apple Safari.
The Deputy Chief Minister, Dr Joseph Garcia said: ‘The Government felt that it was important to commemorate the 75th anniversary of the Evacuation in a number of different ways. This on-line exhibition is one of them. I am very grateful to Mr Joe Gingell for making the exhibits available and to the Archivist, Anthony Pitaluga, and his team, who have been instrumental in digitising them.’
