Sep 01 – Gibraltar Singer And Songwriter Makes It Through To Finals Of UK Open Mic Competition

Local singer and songwriter Nathan Baldachino, who is currently working and living in London has made it through to the regional finals of the UK Open Mic Competition.

He auditioned for the 21 and over category and performed an acapella version of Stevie Wonder’s “Lately”.

Now preparations are underway for the regional finals, which will be held on the 4^th October at Dingwalls in Camden, London.

The regional winner will have the opportunity to perform at the O2 Arena for the Grand Finals later on this year.

Previous competition judges have included record label A&R from Sony Music, Warner Music Group and Universal Music as well as national radio DJs, regional press and the BBC.

The winner will receive a £5000 cash prize, recording time in a professional studio and exposure to massive industry labels.

Nathan will be back on the Rock performing at this year’s Bosom Buddies show “My Way” on Friday 16^th October.
