Feb 08 - GBC Sports Awards – Time To Vote
The GBC sports awards continue to celebrate sporting achievement and prowess.
2015 proved to be another successful year for local sports men and women and the GBC Sports Awards aims to honour their accomplishments.
The panel made up of GBC Sports Reporters past and present, local journalists and representatives of Gibraltar’s two multi-sporting Associations met recently to draw up a shortlist of nominees in the four categories: Senior and Junior Team, and Junior and Senior Individual.
The Panel vote, however, will only account for 50% of final vote; the public will once again be asked to get involved by tele-voting for the nominees on premium phone lines supplied by Gibtelecom. The lines opened after the nominees were announced on GBC last week.
Once again all monies raised by the phone lines is donated by Gitelecom to the GBC Open Day.
The Awards night will take place on the 1st of March at what has become the home of the awards: Bruno’s Restaurant in Tradewinds.
