Oct 04 - Gibraltar National Dance Team Line Up Announced
The Gibraltar National Dance Organisation has selected the 2016 Gibraltar National Dance Team.
The National Team will compete at the forthcoming IDO World Ballet, Modern and Jazz Championships this month in Frankfurt, as well as the World Show Dance Championships in Riesa in November.
On this occasion, the GNDO have selected a total of 29 dancers from tough auditions held at the Central Hall earlier in the year. The dancers that make the team are from the following dance schools: Mediterranean Dance School, Transitions Dance Academy and Stylos Dance Studios.
The 2016 National Team members are:

National Team choreographers are: Lauren Montero, Gillaine Alman, Gerald Rodriguez, Jade Federico and Lilian Montero.
GNDO Vice-President, Wendy Garro said: "The majority of these dancers have performed both locally and international and competed at the highest level winning many awards at the Gibraltar International Dance Festival, Dance World Cup and even finalists at IDO international events, amongst other accolades.
"For 2016 competitions we have composed various groups and duets from performers that are from different dancing backgrounds, and at the same with different choreographers who are not necessarily their own dance teachers.
"We are delighted that everyone is doing their very best to ensure that Gibraltar is represented to the highest of standards, against la crème de la crème in the World of Dance."
