Jul 22 - Licudi to Attend Commonwealth Games Opening Ceremony
Education Minister for the Gibraltar Government, Gilbert Licudi will be present at the Opening Ceremony of the Commonwealth Games tomorrow evening, in representation of the Chief Minister who is unable to attend.
Gibraltar’s 26 strong team is the largest contingent even sent to the Games, which will see around 4500 athletes from 71 nations and territories gather in Glasgow. The closing ceremony will take place on 3rd August. The Games are expected to attract a potential 1 billion-television audience. The Government has wished the team the best of luck.
