Jul 30 - Day Six of the Commonwealth Games
The Commonwealth Games 2014, being held in Glasgow, yesterday rolled into its sixth day with the Gibraltar Team participating in Clay Shooting at The Barry Buddon Complex in Dundee.
Gibraltar team members Kevin Cowles and Gary Cooper shot 98 and 97. The swim team completed their last two races in the Tollcross pool, with Colin Bensadon clocking a new national record in the 200 individual medley finishing in 2:13:74.
Other team members Karl Pardo, Jordan Gonzalez, Jim Sanderson and Colin Bensadon were just outside of the national record in 400M clocking 4:14:86.
At lunchtime Gibraltar's squash pair Anthony Brindle and Christian Navas were swept aside in their opening doubles group game 2-0. In the afternoon they played St Vincent & The Grenadines with further games set for today.
Today, Gibraltar's action includes squash and Jerai Torres running in 20m heats early this morning.
