Mar 06 - David Wilson Named As Gibraltar FA Interim Head Coach
The Gibraltar FA has announced that David Wilson will take over as Interim Head Coach for the upcoming European Qualifier against Scotland at Hampden Park on the 29th March.
Mr Wilson has been Gibraltar’s Assistant Manager in recent years and has played an important role in the preparation of the National Team in all of its fixtures since the first official International recognised fixture against Slovakia in November 2013.
A Press Conference will be held on Tuesday to introduce Mr Wilson and to announce his squad for the European Qualifier against Scotland.
After the Scotland game, Gibraltar’s next European Qualifier is against Germany at home, at the Estadio Algarve, on the 13th June. The search for a new National Team Manager has already started and the Gibraltar FA says it hopes to make an announcement well before this fixture to give the new Manager enough time to prepare to welcome the World Champions to its ‘home from home’ in Faro.
