Aug 04 - Minister For Sport Congratulates Young Gibraltarian Golfer
The Minister for Sport, Steven Linares, has congratulated Sebastian Desoiza who has completed the three day World Junior Golf Championships tournament at Pinehurst, North Carolina last week finishing second out of all the European participants and in 21st position overall against 150 boys from over 25 different countries.
Sebastian has now qualified to compete in the European Championships which take place in Scotland in May 2016.
The Minister said, “He has not only had the opportunity to play amongst the top junior golfers in the world, but has also joined the so many local sports persons that continuously contribute to promote Gibraltar internationally.”
