Jul 27 - Power Outages In Main Street Area

As a result of an electrical fault that affected parts of Main Street yesterday, Tuesday 26th July 2016 at 12.30pm and which lasted for approximately two hours, emergency works were undertaken last night by the Electrical Network Division to rectify the fault on the Distribution System.

The emergency works commenced at about 11.00pm and were completed by about midnight, this resulted in a further power outage which affected those Customers in the vicinity of 260-300 Main Street, 1-10 Cathedral Square and 1-12 Governors Lane.

Due to the nature and urgency of the works, a notice was placed on the Gibraltar Electricity Authority's Social Media advising Customers of the Interruption to Electricity Supply.

The GEA would like to take this opportunity to apologise to all Customers affected.
