No 6 Convent Place has informed that the Chief Minister, Mr. Fabian Picardo, will be appearing on Spanish television channel, Telecinco, on the programme ‘El Gran Debate’ tomorrow Saturday 19th May 2012.
The Chief Minister is expected to appear after 11pm on a segment on Gibraltar.

Minister for Culture, Mr. Steven Linares visited Genoa in Italy, recently, along with Chief Culture Officer, Yvette Zarb Bensusan and Gino Sanguinetto, President of the Fine Arts Association.

With regards to the fire that occurred last night in the building that houses the Cemetary Keeper’s office and Stagnetto’s stores, YGTV have been told that the call was made to the City Fire Brigade at 12:56 am. Three fire engines were sent to the incident but another had to be called due to the severity of the blaze.
The fire appeared to have spread from a set of wooden pallets that had been stuck on top of each other in the road. The blaze spread, smashing the glass in the windows to Stagnetto and the Cemetery Keeper’s Office.
Yesterday evening at around 7pm, a group of Gibraltarian individuals congregated outside of the Cervantes Institute to protest the first of three bullfighting lectures that was being held at that time.
The group of around 70 individuals put across their anti- bullfighting points in a letter to president of the Cervantes institute, Sr. Oda. The letter was handed personally to Sr. Oda during the protest, when he invited the protestors to attend the lecture.
