Mar 20 - CITIPEG Chairman Resigns From Unite

  • Written by YGTV Team

Gibraltar News - CItipegCitipeg president Francisco Ponce has announced his resignation from Unite the Union’s District Committee. Sr. Ponce was the only Spanish workers’ representative active in the trade union.

Ponce accused Unite of ‘doing nothing’ to improve worker conditions in Gibraltar. His departure follows Regional Officer Charlie Sisarello’s retirement. Sr. Ponce noted that this ‘has left Unite like a ship without a captain.’

Speaking on the Union, Sr. Ponce noted that, ‘they seem to represent the interests of businesses and not the interests of workers.’
