At YGTV we think it is important to promote and document Gibraltar’s local talent. To kick this off we are proud to present a few of Gibraltar’s local DJs.
It is clear from the abundance of musical events, shows, choirs and clubs in Gibraltar that we love anything to do with music and a boogie. At our office, not a day goes by when at least one of us isn’t singing along to a song or whistling a melody.
YGTV therefore is proud to introduce our new and unique music page, aiming to keep you up to date with the 411 on a wide variety of musicians, bands and DJ’s based in Gib. What better way to get to know the people that satisfy our passion for music?
Be sure to check out their Bios and also listen to some of the mix tapes that they have exclusively prepared for YGTV.
Remember, if you want to be on YGTV, just give us a call, we can do the rest.

Voodoo Monkey is a hard rock band based in Gibraltar. Having already released an EP in October 2011 and performing regular gigs on the Rock, they are quickly becoming one of Gibraltar’s most exciting original bands.
It’s not surprising with the line up they have, James Culatto on Vocals, Richard Camilleri on Bass, Charlie Moor on drums, Justin Philips on Guitar and Jason Pincho on Guitar.

The tech-volution brings us Nostrum X: a DJ/Producer whose delivery is as delicate as it is gritty. Nostrum X fuses minimalistic grooves with the rugged stomps of tech and brighter snippets of house to create sounds bound to entice any music enthusiast.
Beginning his wanderings as a DJ in the province of Cadiz, Spain, he became renowned for the variety of moods conveyed through his live sets - which continue to be impulsive creations based upon his feel and interpretation of the venue and the crowd in the moment.

Eager to start, Frank-E started DJ’ing by organising his own events in the GASA clubhouse at the tender age of 16, with his friend Richard Camilleri (now bassist with Voodoo Monkey). Back then his sets consisted of commercial breakbeat for the masses of followers at the time. His desire to obtain a set list that no other DJ had lead Frank-E into producing his own original tracks.
