Somewhat echoing the Mr. Picardo’s comments, the group insists that ‘the United Kingdom has not done enough to deter the constant bullying and harassment by the Spanish Government towards Gibraltar and its people, and should bring its diplomatic pressure to bear in order to begin to see tangible results’

Mar 06 - Childline Blue Day

childline Childline Gibraltar will hold its annual awareness-raising Blue Day on Friday 14 March. On Blue Day, Childline volunteers will visit local schools while staff at many local companies will show their support by dressing in blue for the day.

On Saturday 15th, the Gibraltar Rockettes Cheerleaders will support Childline by performing in Casemates Square between 12 noon and 1pm.  Winners of the recent Cheersport solo competition will also be performing.

Mar 06 - 2 – 0 Loss for Gibraltar in Inaugural UEFA Friendly

gfaWith a much better performance from the GFA, than during Saturday night’s friendly against the Faroe Islands, Estonia’s national team yesterday beat the home side 2 – 0 at the Victoria Stadium.

The match marked former Stoke and Chester Defender Danny Higginbotham’s last ever football game. He was met with a standing ovation from the crowd as he departed the pitch in the last half of the match, to make way for the GFA’s Jamie Robba.
